Radiology Department Case Quiz Winners

The radiology department case quiz this trimester was won by Robert Trager and Catherine Money. Both Trager and Money are Trimester 10 interns and are graduating December 21st. The case quiz challenges the intern’s clinical and diagnostic imaging acumen and reinforces their competence in an important aspect of patient care. 

This trimester, the case construction and expertise was provided by Ross Mattox DC, resident in the Department of Radiology.

Call for Papers - WFC/ACC Education Conference 2014

Representatives of chiropractic educational institutions, chiropractic associations, individual doctors of chiropractic and others are invited to submit short, summary papers (500-1000 words) for presentation at the WFC/ACC Education Conference at the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel in Miami, Florida between October 29 and November 1, 2014.

The best submissions will be selected for either oral or poster presentation.

Dr. Al Parry

We are saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Al Parry on December 6, 2013. Dr. Parry was the former director of the post-graduate department at Logan, long time director of the Logan archives, former member of the Association for the History of Chiropractic Board of Directors, teacher, author and friend. He will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in South St. Louis in a private service. He will be missed by his friends and colleagues.

Do You Qualify For Public Service Loan Forgiveness?

The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program is intended to encourage individuals to enter and continue to work full-time in public service jobs. Under this program, borrowers may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance of their Direct Loans after they have made 120 qualifying payments on those loans while employed full time by certain public service employers.

Purser Event: FREE United States Air Force Band of Mid-America Concert

The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America will be performing a FREE concert at the Purser Center on Wednesday, December 11th at 7:00pm. This band is a group of 45 enlisted professional musicians who musically represent the professionalism and excellence found every day throughout the United States Air Force. This multimedia presentation will feature music from many different religions, cultures and musical genres.  

Show begins at 7:00 pm.

IT Services Department Announces New Password Management Utility for Students

Logan's IT Services department is pleased to provide our new Password Management Utility (PMU), available online at:

This web page will allow you to easily change your password, which is required once a trimester, and/or reset your password if you ever forget it. It will also send daily reminder emails to your Logan address beginning 14 days prior to your password expiration, and continuing until your password has been updated. The emails contain instructions and a link to the PMU where you can login and change your password.  Links to the PMU are also located on the main Logan website under the "Quick Links" section as well as on the University blog page.   

Please take a few minutes to visit the PMU and enroll today. By spending a little time now you will make future password changes quicker and easier. The enrollment process asks you to set up two security questions and optionally supply an alternative email address. These items are used for identity verification and to reset forgotten passwords. With the Password Management Utility (, now you can easily change or reset a forgotten password at your convenience - 24/7/365!   

**Note: Faculty and Staff are welcome to use this utility along with our students.**

Upcoming Purser Center Holiday Event: St. Louis Philharmonic

The St. Louis Philharmonic will be hosting their annual Holiday Pops concert featuring the Kirkwood Children’s Choir on Friday, December 6 at the Purser Center.

Show begins at 8:00 pm.  Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased directly through the St. Louis Philharmonic Orchestra.  Hurry! The show is expected to sell out.
