Logan’s website will be down for maintenance on Tuesday night at approximately 6pm. The outage is expected to be approximately 30 minutes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Chesterfield Parkway West Bridge will Close Effective April 1 and Highway 40 will Experience Closures the Weekend of April 4

Effective midnight, April 1, the Chesterfield Parkway West Bridge will be closed until the end of July as the bridge is replaced.

John Jaffry Recognized by Missouri Association of Collegiate Registrar’s and Admissions Officers


Congratulations to John Jaffry, Logan University's Registrar, for being selected by the Missouri Association of Collegiate Registrar’s and Admissions Officers (MACRAO) as receiving the Best Session award for the 2013 77th Annual State Conference held at Camden on the Lake, October 27-29, 2013.   John’s session The “U” in Upper Administration was selected out of 30 sessions.

Wellness Center is Closed March 26-28 for New Equipment Installation

The Wellness Center will be closed Wednesday, March 26-Friday, March 28 as new equipment is installed.

Visit next week and try out the new equipment including: adjustable benches, elite rack and lifting platforms, Olympic bar, bumper plate, attachment for battle ropes and attachment for t-bar row.

Wellness Center Updates

The Harris Wellness Center will be open Monday, March 17-Friday, March 21 from 10am-6pm. The Wellness Center will be closed on Saturday, March 22.

Need a break from studying? A disc golf two-man scramble is set for Wednesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 20 from 11am-1pm. Meet at the kiosk at Hole 1. No registration is needed.



The Wellness Center will be closed from March 26-28 as new equipment is being installed. 


Dr. Carl Saubert to Retire in December

March 13, 2014

Dr. Saubert, Logan’s leader of academic affairs, has announced his plans for retirement from Logan University at the end of 2014. Dr. Saubert will continue with Logan in a consulting role through 2015 to shepherd the University through the Council on Chiropractic Education re-accreditation process.

“Dr. Saubert’s expertise in campus administration and chiropractic accreditation has helped Logan earn and maintain its reputation for world-class education. He will be missed and we have very large shoes to fill in his replacement,” said J. Clay McDonald, DC, MBA, JD, President of Logan University.

Logan will be conducting a national search for Dr. Saubert’s replacement.

Dr. Saubert earned his doctorate in exercise physiology in August 1972 from Washington State University, holds a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern Montana College.

Register Today for the ICS Meeting on April 3

The Illinois Chiropractic Society (ICS) and several Illinois doctors, will be on campus Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 11:15am – 1:00pm, in the William D. Purser, DC Center. If you are interested in practicing in Illinois be sure to attend this free luncheon to learn what Illinois has to offer. Topics of discussion will be scope of practice, insurance, licensure, everyday business in practice, etc.
 

ICS Executive Director, Marc Abla will be conducting the meeting. Mr. Abla will bring his extensive financial, administrative and association experience to the meeting as well as answer any questions you might have.
 

Dr. Timothy Berteslman, Second Vice President of ICS will also be in attendance. Dr. Berteslman graduated from Logan with honors in 1991 and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). Dr. Berteslman has been running a successful chiropractic office in Belleville, IL for over 20 years.

Logan University Taking Leadership Role in Local Health Care Community

A statewide tornado drill is scheduled for March 6 at 1:30 pm. The Logan Community will NOT participate in the drill. Do not seek shelter when the sirens sound as it is only a drill.

The office of admissions is pleased to welcome two new admissions coordinators to the team.

Lulu Brinkley is new to the office, but not to Logan. Lulu has been a Patient Services Representative at the 79 Crossing clinic for the past year and half. Lulu is a St. Charles native and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Missouri-St. Louis. Having seen the culmination of a student’s education in clinic, she is excited to be a part of a student’s decision to enter the chiropractic field and Logan. “I am thrilled to be part of Logan’s office of admissions and bringing new students to our wonderful university.” You may contact Lulu at extension 1791.

Also new to the office of admissions is Christopher Miofsky. Christopher holds a Masters of Education in Adult and Higher Education Administration from University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is originally from Glen Carbon, IL and is huge fan not only of the Cardinals, but also St. Louis. He is eager to share his passion for the area with potential students. “I am very excited to be joining the Logan University family and the office of admissions! Appy Hour - February 21st

New Office Assignments for Services

We want to make you aware of some office changes in order to bring all business services together for a more convenient experience on the south end of the 2nd Floor of the Administration Building: 

 • Mr. John Jaffry, the registrar, is now located in office #279.
 • Ms. Joyce Johnson, assistant registrar and Ms. Jan Valentine, secretary will be located in office #216 as of Thursday, February 20. This is where you would go to take care of registration, transcripts, etc.
 • Mr. Sam Alli, accounts payable processor and Ms. Linda Lawson, bursar are now located in office #221. This is where you would go to pay your bill, pick up your check, etc.

Clinic Jumpstart Activity - February 21st

Logan's Assessment Center will be hosting another Clinic Jumpstart Activity on Friday, February 21st at 2:00pm.

Dr. Kettner from the Radiology Department will be discussing lumbar spine imaging including x-ray, MRI and CT.

Purser Center - Fundraising Opportunity

The Purser Center is currently looking for nonprofit groups or organizations to run a concession stand during dance competitions held at the Purser Center.  Dance competitions are high volume and long running events that last throughout a weekend.  This would be a great opportunity for any nonprofit or charitable organization looking for a way to raise money. 

Typical concession stand fare includes hot dogs, pretzels, nachos, candy, chips and sodas however groups may be creative in their offerings.  Groups should be prepared to:

- Provide all staffing (2-3 people throughout the suggested timeframe)
- Food and beverage product for the concession stand
- Any food and beverage equipment needed to produce food and beverage products

A Logan University student, faculty, staff or graduate must be an active participant in the non-profit organization in order to participate in this opportunity. 

All profits raised by the non-profit are kept by the non-profit
